Penketh High School is a large secondary school with contains a Sixth Form in Penketh, Warrington. It is a coed, non-denominational school for 11-18 year olds. In 2005 it became a specialist school for visual arts and obtained a Media status, and since then students along with the help of the in-built Media company Red Rose Media, together they have created the world's first high school feature film called "Days" in 2007. In March 2009, the school released its second school film, 'Louie', and was shown for a week in Warrington Odeon between 20–26 March. The school has a partnership with Kwadeda High School in South Africa who helped to produce another feature film called 'The Opportunity' which was targeted at teenage audiences to make them aware of HIV, drugs and other problems that are high risk factors in South Africa. The film was premiered at Liverpool Football Club and received notable recognition for the mass project undertaken by the schools media director Mr J. Kay and Learning For Life teacher Miss Gibson.

The school is split into a house system, each named after a notable ex-pupil.
